Connected to the environment

Connected to the environment

The International Student House (ISH) is part of the master plan Technical University Campus North, which also includes the transformation into student apartments of formerly vacant, monumental university buildings. Overall, the plan now realized offers lodging for over 900 students. The ISH houses about 350 of them.

The large lockable in-house bicycle park is based on the ground floor around the courtyard. With safety in mind, the façade and gates of the bicycle storage are transparant to allow sight and sound to pass through. Our transparant mesh increases the perception of space and the entry of light which encourages residents not to park their bicycles in the courtyard.
